Well, I got tired of hearing Sheepdawg and Rifling go on and on about their S&W guns. Figured I would finally have to try just one. Got this in today.

Those two guys best be right. Or, they will be on my s***list.

Darned right you should Sonny Boy! Heck, that Sheepdawg feller is the same age as Ron I think. Course Rifle, hard to tell for sure with a scruffy dog like him.
There, that ought to get ole Sheepy stirred up. We been doing this for many years on a number of boards. Fun, fun, fun!

Here yo go. First 10 rounds AFTER I figured out how to easily fix the Ejector problem. Took it out to try and also sight in. Turns out I had to do nothing more.
Mind you, this is the first 10 round magazine fired at a target at the Range near here!!! Started at 7 yard line at the range just yesterday.
7 Yard Range

Oh no, not touching these sights yet!
Went to 15 yards next. Pulled two shots by too much finger on the trigger.

Then, I had to settle down a bit and get a breath. Trigger so smooth, light, and functions so fast I was rapid firing and did not even realize at the moment. But still, here is a slower fire at 15yds.

I will take it!!! There are 4 rounds through that one slightly larger hole in the center of that target. For a nearly 76 year old guy and a wee bit shaky at hand, I will take this any day. All above were with CCI Mini Mag cartridges. 40gr HV Copper Plated bullets.
Gonna be some 9mm, 38spl, and 9x18 pistols get sold real soon now.
Not all, but some.
So, just tonight I ordered another of these with a nice little S&W bonus package with it. One is good, but two is very good.

About 30 rounds here at home to check function. Lot of failures to eject the empty out of the gun before next round starts to load.

I oiled it up a drop every point manual says to. It seems a lot of these do not have the ejector enough towards center. Dunno yet. Gonna shoot a few more tomorrow I think. Loaded both magazines full and gonna let sit
till tomorrow at least. Get the springs broke in a bit.

Ejecting all hulls out of the gun is the only thing needing worked out.
Man, these really fit and feel right. Superb out of the box accuracy. I had to lower the rear sights a bit. Windage seems really close. I was impressed.

Well, no luck with it today either. Ammo makes no difference. First round fires and gun should extract and eject out the right side of the gun. But rarely does. fired hull ends up on the left side still in the gun.
Either in a length position as fired or at a 90 degree angle. Blocking the new round trying to load.
Worst damn jamomatic anything I have ever seen since my first semi auto 22lr pistol bought in 1966.
Gonna call S&W tomorrow. Afraid it will have to go back to them. Pretty sad, if like normal I hear, it will be at least 2-3 weeks before I see it again.
I can tell you all right now, this old man will never, ever, buy ANY S&W
gun again ever. They can take their crap workmanship and stick where the Sun doesn't shine.

You bought it new from a dealer, correct? Haven’t tried to disassemble the upper? Just to be sure.
I hate when this happens. Can only add not all of them are crap, mine worked well out of the box. It seems random with .22 semi autos pistols, in fact most I’ve owned were unreliable.

Well aware of that link. Read it before I bought. You would freakin think that since early 2016 they would have resolved this. To me, S&W does not care about customer problems or this crap would have been fixed in 4 plus years. Don't talk any S&W to me right now Mike!!
