Well, my ideal shotgun would be the AA-12 - but as I don't have pockets that deep....

Here is mine, well, a representation of it... The FN SLP (Self Loading Police). This thing is an autoloading monster.

Nah, I had a problem. I don't know why the thing says Mossberg on the side. I don't honestly remember mine saying that on the receiver, but I will check tomorrow.

It's the FN Herstal SLP and the thing handles 3" magnum rounds with ease and comfort, but the damage is NOT what you would want to have inflicted upon you, I assure you.....

Im guessing upwards of 1K for this bad boy. I was looking for an autoloader but price is a factor right now.

I paid $890 plus tax, which had be me out the door under $1K, but it's definitely a higher end model. The nice thing is that it's an autoloader that eats whatever I feed it and it's not heavy at all. It actually feels "light" for what it is in my arms, but it handle recoil nicely.

I tested several before I bought this one untested, including two Benelli's, but this one spoke to me and I have been VERY pleased with the performance.

I love a good 870 or a Mossy 500, but this shotgun is just a step above and it flat performs. Without access to the AA-12, I will hang my hat on this one without concern.

If you can afford it, even a used one, you won't be disappointed by your choice. ;)

If we ever get together to shoot you will have to bring it along. I want to get up that way later this year to meet up with WDB and if possible you as well.

Just a plain old Mossberg 500 with Ghostrings and a Pachmayr pistol grip. I've been thinking about putting the stock back on, but probably not until we leave the city.
