Never attack a mother bear when she is nursing her cub. It can be fatal.
Didn't read the article but isn't that just common sense?
They didn't realize that THAT momma bear had teeth! AND had defense of patients training (Combat Medic)
If I was her 1st Sergeant, she would get a hug from everyone in the company, a party, and then some range time!
And if you do make sure she is down. Bears are dangerous animals.
Is it the CNN bellow the you are talking about, well done her.
Breast-feeding mom fends off home intruders - CNN.com
(CNN)A man has been charged in the home invasion and shooting of a North Carolina mom last week.
Semantha Bunce, 21, a combat medic in the National Guard, was in her Charlotte home breast-feeding her 4-month-old son in her bedroom when intruders barged in Tuesday, November 3.
the disgusting part is this veteran will have to pay her own medical while the thug turning his life around will get free treatment. should have let the scumbag bleed out.
CNN is better now. I've seen some evenly stacked on-air discussions, like Fox does them. The editorial column does not equal news coverage. The New York Times editorial page is often ridiculous, but the A section is second to none.
Yes, there is Anderson Cooper making cute all-knowing faces, and the "take this, we ain't Fox" big cow, and the black-eyed pea charlatan Fareed Zakaria who knows nothing but explains everything
But the channel still breaks news stories pretty good.
Hilary's emails, the pet conservative cause, was originally the NYT story. By the way. eepwall:
Too many folks listen to the stuff they want to hear: They get all their news from one source. Often the truth does not jump up and hit you in the face; one has to dig for the truth. i like to compare several reports on the same subject and prefer at least one foreign news source. Sometimes you can't help but wonder at the differences in the stories. Fox is famous for leaving out "the rest of the story".
For years Fox had a regular named Wayne Simmons. Wayne Simmons claimed he had worked for the CIA for decades. Simmons managed to get a security clearance and work as a defense contractor advising colonels and generals overseas.
Wayne Simmons is a total fraud. He had been charged by the feds with lying and faces a long prison term.
On Fox News I have not heard a recorded conversation, redacted to make a deliberately false impression on the listener. That honor is held by NBC and its satellite MSNBC. The Zimmerman case.
Disliking Fox is your sacred right, but you will have a hard time proving it worse than both of its competitors.
PS. Watched FN for many years, don't remember Wayne Simmons. Charlatans come and go on all cable news stations. Cable media are always in a hurry with a "timely" comment. Simmons, whoever he is, probably sang along with the choir, and left a zero information footprint. His carbon emissions are long gone too.
BTW: Wayne Simmons is twice convicted felon. He has been found guilty of felon in possession of a firearm. A simple background check by Fox News would have put the lie to Wayne Simmons.
Okie dokie. I am sure they do better background checks now. A determined talented imposter is like a computer hacker. To suggest that Fox looked the other way because it liked what the guy was saying is a stretch of Lycra on a Hoosier butt.
CNN and MSNBC ain't worth :two cents: in my opinion.
