Yellow paint inside my M&P 9

    At first I thought it was rust (shot in a very light rain yesterday) but gun was almost packed up by the time it started raining.
    And besides modern handgun like this should not rust.

    On closer examination via camera it appears to be yellow paint.
    Weird.

    They colored the leg that you can use for decocking for disassembly for those who don't like to pull the trigger to disassemble. This forces you to check the chamber. Coloring it yellow made it easier to spot exactly what you were looking for for disassembly.

    Kinda threw me for a loop at first.

    My Older MP9 doesnt seem to have that (2011 Prod).
    This new MP9 does, even though its a Gen 1 also (2017 production)

    Yeah, weird.... Read your OWNER`S manual. Its actually very informative.
