You may want to change who is firing the subcompact. Dependent on load it can bite the trigger finger some. Not overly uncomfortable but may make the wife flinch after this happens. Have noticed this with the 180 gr. Remington rounds. Need to have a firm grip to keep this from happening.
XD 40 Service and Sub-Compact
Just bought myself an XD 40 service pistol and my wife an XD 40 Sub-Compact. Waiting on the registration process now. Can't wait to go shoot em.

The trigger safety can pinch your finger when fired. I do not know if it is because of the short frame and the recoil or just my hand size. Just a warning for someone new.
Also just wanted to say that I love the weapon even when this occurs.
