What is your favorite
Sorry ran out of choices could only choose 10 guns
I dont own one yet.... but id have to say the M1 garand.... What no arisaka?
I love em all
No love for the MG42?
Would only let me have 10 sorry
If I had to carry a gun and ammo all day it would be surely be the M1 carbine. Just have to get up close with it.
That's ok, if not an MG42 than any one of the M1's
put me down for the BAR
91/30, K98k, VZ24, Mas36 (I had to sell mine ), N04Mk1*, don't forget the Snipers!!! They are the most fun. K98 High turret, 91/30 PU. I had an Model 99 and an M1 Garand, neither gave me a rush. I also sold an M38 Carcano, it uses a strange size 6.5 bullet and is expensive for what it is to reload.
1942's I have and had:
M99 w/ all the bells and whistles, vet bring back, no duffle cut, matching
BYF K98k, matching, vet bring back
No4MK1* Longbranch Matching
No4mk1/3 Longbranch Matching FTR 1952
M38 Carcano Matching
i would have to say springfield 1903a3
Man I can't pick just one...I want 'em all
Already regret not choosing the Bren.
You're right. My dad, who served in CBI Theater of Ops in WWII, saw a tiger take 15 shots from a M1. The tiger had grabbed a coolie and took off with him into the jungle.
I picked the M1 Tommy.
Really, though, it depends on the role. General fighting? Give me an M1 Garand. If I'm an observer, or a rear-echelon type, then the M1 Carbine would be my choice.
Jungle fighting? Thompson, hands down.
Precision shooting? M1903, Arisaka, Mauser, or any of the other Mauser variants, preferably 'scoped.
If I could only be armed with one, though... it would be the, Sturmgewehr 44, no contest. Think about it!
Depends on the use, If range involved Garand, Up close Thompson.
I have a Garand, .308 NATO re-barrell Asrika 6.6 carbine, Enfield & 191145auto
What!! no Ma Deuce!!
Gotta go with the Thompson. Shortly after I moved to Alaska there was an ad in Shotgun News, Law Enforcement Only M1 Thompson for $175. I wanted to be a cop so bad. Tried to start a Trapper Creek Constabulary but nobody else would go for it. Should have joined Fish and Game, but knew too many salmon poachers. Anyways, still regret not getting a Thompson just like Vic Morrow's on Combat.
I second that.
