I can't see the bolt but it looks like a Mosin Nagant. Though there are a few different rifles that mount a sling like that from back-when..

This will tell you anything you should need to know.

They are all over the place right now and sell for around $90- $125. for the run of the mill 91/30 model. They are fun to own and shoot. Most people that have one contract a virus that causes you to buy them uncontrolably.

Looks just like my Mosin. The battleship looks like an Iowa class minus 1 turret :)

On the Moisin/ Nagant, the sling attaches to a leather loop (dog collar) that passes through the hole in the stock.

That looks a lot like the sling I bought for my SKS, are they the same or a little different?

I just compared the two. They are similar but not the same. The nagant sling is made with the leather loops designed to wrap perpendicular to the sling. The original sks sling has the loops designed to attach in line with the sling.

Thanks for clearing that up for me, was starting to think I should have bought 2. Should be getting a Nagant soon, but I'm picky. Has to be 1942 or previous.

    Very nice. Hex or round?

Not sure yet, I kinda prefer the hex, but round will work too, the biggest thing that I like about them is that you can all but guarantee that any given Mosin (depending on the year of manufacture) was used in WWII.

Good looking rifle, the color on the stock looks pretty uniform, I dont see too many that are that clean.

I refinished it. It was pretty rough when I got it.
