I used W-231 for many years for a variety of handgun loads including 9mm. I have since moved to Red Dot as it is a bit more versitile for me as I load shotshells with it also. I like to keep a small number of powders on hand so I can buy in bulk.

A Luger will likely prefer a hotter load, near max to cycle properly.

I've been reloading 9mm ammo with W231 for years and like it very much. It's very accurate in my loads. I use 115 gr. bullets in almost all my reloads. I tried several other powders said to be good for 9mm initially, but had poor results. Once I got some W231 and tried it, I knew I had found the right powder. I always load full power loads, not target loads.

I also use W231 to reload .380 auto. with great success.

I use WST super target. Works fine, meters well, and is clean

I've used 231 for years. Best powder for cast loads, target loads. Full power I use Unique, it burns a little cleaner. 231 works great for 9x19.

Really? In all my experience with Unique in 9mm I have found it to be dirtier and cheaper. Just my experience... Most alliant powders for handgun are not made with the quality the Winchester super target powders are.
