Nope! There has been a very lengthy thread on this one already. And if you see the video you will understand why he was charged. He came back to the store after chasing the second subject out of the store after shooting the first robber who fell on the floor in the store. The Pharmacist came back in the store got another weapon and walked over to the first robber who was unarmed he shot previously and basically assassinated the unarmed guy on the floor. ON THE STORES VIDEO CAM! As the cartoon goes ROT-ROE! He was good to go until he did that on video

Yeah, I was with him until he shot the guy while he was sprawled out unconscious. Now if the kid had been struggling to his feet, then he would have been ok draining the mag into him. Sad story. Both lose their lives...one figuratively and the other literally.

no not that, i was just surprised OK found him guilty...now if it was in New Jersy thats a different story. Thats why it was "WTF Oklahoma".
Pumping 5 into a guy thats wounded and otherwise not a threat is a little much IMO...some say that the kid walked in knowing what could happen and deserved it, but 5???.

i put this identical post on the other thread.

i've followed this shooting since day one. After the shooting Ersland lied to the cops: He lied when he said the deceased perp had a gun. He lied to the cops about his military service. If Ersland had not lied to the cops he might not be going to McAlester prison for life. Then Ersland gave TV interviews where he came across as a vigilante.

Ersland and his lawyer got one judge disqualified: They tried to get the judge who heard the case disqualified because of an alleged racial slur. A judge tends to get po'd when you try to disqualify him from hearing your case. That definitely did not help Ersland.

Today the two adults who planned the robbery were sentenced to life in prison for murder plus additional years on other counts.

Perfect example of some one not mature and level headed enough to have a fire arm.
in other words, another ***** with a gun in his hand feeling he has the right to end some one because he can not control his emotions. Sad because these are the people who get media coverage, not the people who do it right.

Bingo!! You seldom hear about a righteous shooting case where the shooter was given a pass by the prosecutor or grand jury because he did the right thing. There is no political mileage in reporting on good shoots.

yep i read this this morning and i have been thinking about it , shoot him in the head if your serious , or shoot him in the balls if your mean . Either way your screwed and will get sued by some one . Or shoot the camera first then put the gun on him , you know , the one that you keep that your not exactly sure where it came from . I keep a h&r sportsman just for such occasions . On a different note a 12ga with a slug or buck shot is most often lethal first time around .
