It is a lathe dog.
Hi wall, da word. also can be used as nut buster........ouch.........
how does it work?
not a nut buster, the bolt is flat.
Used as nut buster, the screw is tightened against a small flat against the nut that has been stripped. Then with a hammer slowly beat the nut back and forth till it breaks free...........Hammer opposite the screw part.........
no, nut busters have a wedge on the part thats tightened.
i want to know what a lathe dog is.
It's a lathe dog.
Commonly a lathe dog is used when turning a shaft (like a gun barrel) between centers. The lathe dog makes the shaft turn.
bingo! chicken dinner!
unfortunatley, the lathe was sold 8 years ago. dang. scrap metal.
