    looks more like a scoop or a scraper to me. I'm thinking a scraper.

    If it was used to remove fresh corn from the cob, most likely they placed the corn on a large nail upright, the opening in the cutting edge allowed for bigger ears of corn. Just a kitchen aid that didn't perform well, Another task it could have been used for was scraping hair from pigs ears and feet......

    A scraper, is the most likely tool. imagine, all the barn yard fowl after being plucked and the skin is still full of graut..........Allso a fish scaler on a small scale, bream and such.............
