    can you guys tell i was in the garage all of this rainy day?


    have a bunch of toothpicks with wire attached to them. found in with gardening stuff.

    This one's too easy, if wood they are stakes for holding the wire mesh in the ground upright for tomato plant vines to grow on.

    they are wood.
    is this for raising tomatoes from seeds? most i get are grown already. or we just throw seeds out in the compost and let them go nuts.

    got a pic of them in use?

    I believe they might be markers so you can write on the sticks what you planted where. I sometimes see stakes at the beginning of rows with a sign on them stating "carrots", "radishes", etc.

    You'd think, even if a farmer forgot what he planted, he could look at a carrot or ear of corn and remember what it's called. :)

    the wire is what throws me off. if you have one stick in the ground and the wire is attached to the other stick in the ground....what will it do? train the plant to grow along the ground?

    Staking wire across the row of seedlings coming up in the garden, put plastic over them when frost is in the forecast. Keeps the tarp from breaking the seedlings.

    To me they look like the stakes you use to put flowers on the grave at the cementary
