Just wanted to know the exact model of this gun. Registered as Winchester Marine, but I have not found any pictures of this gun online. Also any feedback about this shotgun?
I'm just going to pull this one out of my butt, I'll guess it is an old Military trench gun they used to use back in the day say (Vietname/Korea) Perhaps??
If you look online this shotgun is usually black/steel setup (newer models). so im trying to figure out why mine is wood/chrome. It cant be that old... anyone know a time frame???
Cut it down? you mean the barrel; it's 20 inch. all of the internal action parts minus springs/levers/firing pin... are "chrome/nickel" finished; even the trigger assembly matches the outer finish looks to me like factory. I also only paid about $270 for the gun from a store. if someone paid to finish the gun like this it would cost more than its worth.
Winchester 1300 Marine. I recall a Marine model but don't remember it having wood stocks. It was bright nickel like yours though. It's definitely a Model 1300, in whatever incarnation. The shorter models like this were Winchester's offering to L/E to compete with the Remington 870 and Mossberg 500.
ya looks like a winnie 1300. the model 12's dont have that > shape cut where the butt meets the receiver just a vertical line, ... really nice deal you got there congrats!
