Ok, so we don't have an Air Gun section so I guess I'll put this here. Just ordered a Ruger Air Magnum Air Rifle:
    http://www.airgunwarehouseinc.com/py-2354-5372.html
It's suppose to give 1200fps with alloy pellets and 1000fps with lead pellets, figure that'd be with the standard 14.3gr weight pellet which is pretty smokin' for something that uses air to push the projectile.
Main reason that I ordered an Air Rifle was because everyone thinks there 22lr are made of gold or something right now during all the turmoil that's going on over gun Rights in D.C. AND 22lr has become expensive and somewhat hard to come by as of late. I can get 500, 14.3gr domed pellets for $9 bucks and they'll work well enough to take rabbits, squirrels or other small critters out to 50 yards or so. Plus, it'll be a lot quieter then a 22lr and pellets can store forever without going bad.
I've been wanting a good, high power air rifle for some time now so I guess this was the time,LOL.
Anyway, I'll try to give a little review once it gets here and I put a few rounds down range. :D

Its right next to the air guitar section. Joking, sounds like a good idea really.

Make sure to get a good scope for it. Generally, the ones that it came with will not be that good.

Correct. Also get one made for a pellet rifle-one for a normal rifle will be eaten by a pellet rifles recoil

Yep, know all about that. The Double Recoil of a spring air gun will beat a scope to death in short order if the lens aren't braced on both sides. :D
Back in the late '80's I had a Beeman C1 Carbine, .177cal@800fps. Pretty accurate little gun. I think the 4x32mm scope that comes on the gun will be fine for now since it is built for a spring air rifle and not just a standard scope. Maybe at a later date I'll look for a good variable like a 2-7x or the like but for now I'll sight it in with the irons then run a few pellets through my Chrony to get a velocity check then mount the scope and sight it in for 25 yards or so and be ready for some target shooting and small game on the cheap.;)

I saw a review that said the scope on the Ruger wasn't all that good. The guy said that a Leapers would be a better scope so that's another $35 bucks. I got to thinking about Airgun Warehouse and they're $25 shipping for the gun where as PyramydAir would be shipped free so I want to cancel my order from Airgun Warehouse. Only problem is because of call volume they won't answer their phone and that's something that totally drives me insane. I've e-mailed them several times but won't be calm until I get a confirmation from them that my order has been canceled. Why do they even bother to post a phone number if they're not going to answer it. That is one thing that will get a company black balled by me, not answering their phone to help a customer.
Oh well, same thing happened with BoTach with some mags I ordered for my Glock and now I simply will never do business with them ever again.

I grabbed a GAMO break action rifle last summer when they went on sale. It came with a scope, laser & white light lol. it does about the same specs as the OP listed. still working on the final zero since I couldn't get to a range in over 4 months and have to sneak out into the back yard. But when testing, a lead pellet ripped through both sides of an empty veggie can with no problems which surprised me

I bought a camo varmint hunter ho 1400 fps with pba ammo, I have taken squirrels and opossum with it, it is very powerful air rifle and it is loud when it pops off but it is fun to plink around with.

Ended up going with a Benjamin Trail NP Nitro Pistol air rifle. Cost was a bit more but I think it's a better gun. Real World velocity is mid to high 700's which is only 100fps or so slower then advertised which isn't bad.
None of these guns hit the velocity mark that's advertised most are at least 100fps slower if not 200-300fps slower. Main thing is accuracy. The Trail NP cut a .800" group at 50 yards with the right pellets which IMHO is awesome.
