This is a shooting match for fun and to donate to Cure Breast cancer.

    Rules would be.

    1. $20 entry fee to be paid via pay pal or mail of a personal check.
    2. 1 target Use MR-31c target. http://www.6mmbr.citymaker.com/f/NRABullTargets.ZIP
    3. 5 shots no sighters while shooting group (Must be 5 shots in a row)
    4. Any rifle and cartridge combo.
    5. Target distance 100 yards.
    6. take a picture or scan target and email to me with cartridge data. I will use On Target software to measure all the groups and post them in the results thread. OnTarget Software
    7. Match would start NOW and go for 3 weeks.
    8. All money will go to Breast cancer in the form of a donation in the name of the Forum. Firearmstalk.com forum.
    9. You may purchase as many targets as you wish for $20 each.

Who wants to try and do this?

Just the supporting members raised $950 for Soldiers coming home from combat. I would like to see that broken and would really like to see it doubled.

So who would be up for it. As of right now I would not change the rules. It is a run what ya brung kind of match. I don't care if it is a custom built 7mm mag or a box stock 223 ar or 22 hornet that is 50 years old.

I like it. How about rimfire at 50 yards and center fire at 100. It does not matter who wins because all of the proceeds go to help booby cancer research. Why even measure the groups? Got any pink targets?

Tango you might just want to try a duel class event. Hand cannons for those who do not have access to long guns or outdoor ranges and long guns for the rest. I believe your on to something but you need to broaden the field, just a suggestion. Where do I send the twenty as I should be able to put some down range next weekend.

Are we shooting for highest score or tightest group?

Hey Tango, I think you may get a lot more entries if the fee to participate wasn't twenty bucks. Not trying to sound like a cheap bastard, but you have range fees, gas to get to the range, fees to participate in your contest, and once all is said and done, it's like a typical day of practice at the range for any one of us. Not to mention that conditions, ie. wind and inclement weather, will vary greatly from one location to the next.

Once again, this is just my two cents, however I think it's a great idea and I would love to participate, but don't know that I can afford to. Have to build my little woman an AR seeing as though she is completely hooked now and just shot a one inch three shot group at two hundred yards last Sunday. :)

what would be a good dollar amount? $10 $5 $1.

Man we are trying to say the greatest thing god ever did. We are trying to save the two objects that every man like and every man wants to play with till the day he dies. Tell if you were 95 years old and some 20 year old was shaken some tata's in your face you wouldn't want to squeeze, message, tweet, play with them?

When I die I want a pair on the coffin lid that come down right on my face so I can still put my face between them and blow zerberts when I am dead because it is just gosh darn fun.

Tango, I wanted to get a pair of my own but Mrs. Hunter said no.
I know where your coming from.

Hopefully the researchers will find the G-Nome related to this disease so my granddaughters will not have to suffer from this in their lifetime. Every little bit helps.

It's more about curing cancer for me than missing out on some funbags. I'm in, though, for the pistol shoot.

Tango, damn good idea for a great cause, but seems like a lot of work and effort, even though it involves firearms and shooting, when all you need to do is set up straight donations for the cause and present the funds at the end of the month. The shoot-off is a bonus, to all who want to participate.

This past weekend, I did a 5k run and the wife did the walk, for a hospital sponsored event to raise donations for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Organization. We do this every year. Even though we have already donated a considerable amount, I would not mind donating some more, because of my own past family members battles, therapy and survival of breast cancer.

This is indeed something near and dear to my families hearts...and their boobs!

Now, are you the one designated to send the straight donations to, and where do we send them? Will ya take PayPal, checks, MO and cash?

Money for something and the boobs for free! :)

My sister is a two time Breast Cancer survivor. I already support the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Where will this money go?

BTW, I'm in, but I can't send a check until after Friday.
