Found a perfectly good 30 cal ammo can on our scrap heap at my shop. Better than the ones I already have. 71E8ECB6-9FFB-4F6F-B94B-BFB9EFEAC169.jpeg

I've got a few empties but I'd never throw a decent one away.

I threw away a grenade can. Stupid heavy empty and when I put stuff in it it became a punishment to move around.

Found it yesterday and it’s already full. Looks much more professional then my Tupperware ammo containers.

I worked at a site on Dugway Proving Ground. this site had a mountain of ammo cans. they did not belong to anyone. Reserves and National Guard go there for training. they have to ignite 5,000 rounds. not hit anything, just pull the trigger. leave the boxes behind. everything from .223 to 175 mm. you could fill a 28 foot uhaul.

build an ammo can wall around the yard.

Ammo cans be like pottery to archeologists in the future. "Oh look professor, yet another cache from the late freedom era." "Any 9mm ?" "No, just empty brass."

I was at a local gun show yesterday and they had 50 cal cans in very good condition for $6. Best buy in the show.

I’m running a surplus right now but I’d never throw one out. When this panic ends, I’ll need the empty ones again.
