Here is a buddy from another forum. 1,032 yard kill with a 20br custom build on a duel port SAVAGE.
It's impressive enough that he could see it at that distance
What's the power on that scope, you know Tango?
It is either a 5-22 or the 12-42x Nightforce.
Here is a link to the thread there.
That just looks like sheer fun.
Did he take that critter on the first shot?
(What is it, BTW?)
Not sure but I do believe it was not walked in.
Animal is a Prairie Dog.
They board has a yearly meet where a bunch of them go and shoot P dogs for a week each spring.
Reach out... Reach out and touch someone.
That should be some kind of a record.
(I got a chuckle out of the Kleenex or handkerchief)
Here's a .20.
Shot at 1000 in IBS matches by the owner of Douglas Barrel Co.
Sonny- P Dogs carry fleas. Fleas that sometimes carry bubonic plague. Remember the Black Death that killed most of Europe? We still have a few cases a year in CO/ UT. I would not pick the filthy little buggers up with rubber gloves on.
Forgot about that. Thanks!
Out here we have Ground Squirrels. Same thing about the fleas.
Thank you for the reminder.
OMG that is some serious shootin'
i couldnt have hit that little critter that far away, even if the bullet had GPS tracking
That is extremely impressive, it looks like he even got it in the head.
I would love to just have the oppurtunity to take a shot from that distance with a rifle capable of doing it.... Someday, when I move to montana maybe I will.
Wow! Bit of a neckdown on that cartridge, good grief.
Let me know when you are ready for me to set the target up.
