A week ago we went into a "hunting/fishing store" (a local place), which is about 30 miles or so west of Nashville, right on the north edge of I-40 at the side of the 'on ramp' for westbound traffic.

They had five WASRs sitting in the corner and were listed at about $550.
Also then had about 800 rds. of x39 Bernaul ammo.

Two days ago the Memphis gun show had a few at about the same price.
Unless you have a good bit of the ammo right now, this will be your only problem, unless you want to pay very high prices.
There are a number of AK clones in stores and shows because the prices have been listed too high to sell.

I think I paid around $300 for mine from AIM. $550 is a pretty big jump.
I saw a number of WASR-10's at the gun show in Hattiesburg, MS this weekend. Most of them looked a bit cheapo to my uneducated eye. They were $500+, mostly right at $600. They were selling well, as was ammo for them. A friend bought one; i bought an SKS. We went to a buddies property to try them out; the SKS felt much more "solid" and more suited to my clumsiness. Of course, the SKS had a more comfortable stock (in black nylon, of course).

Romeys in stock - 499$

Romanian GP-WASR 7.62x39 Rifle

I own this gun and would not hesitate recommending it as an addition to your arsenal! The Romey 7.62 is a fun gun. A deadly fun gun!

I didn't pay this much for mine but in today's market, it's a steal!

Romanian 30rd 7.62x39 Steel Mag

This is probably the lowest price you will see for Romey steel and ever if noboma/pelosie/reid has anything to do with it!!
