I own two SA's (XD40, XDM40) and I couldn't be happier with them. Looking forward to picking up a compact or a sub .40 later this year for my fiancée, maybe then I can get my XD back lol.

I bought a Glock because I have shot XDs and didnt care for them, but the #1 reason was that the 'step' on the slide of the XD is awful and they make a Hi-point look awesome. UGLY.

THE XD is on my top five list of most hideous handguns, the XDM is a little better.

Plus I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so far I'm impressed

Of course it is merely a personal preference, but I don’t like either the XD or Glock. I prefer the SIG 226 and CZ-75, but I probably like the 1911 best, but I am an old guy.

As has been said many previous times... guns are a very personal choice. What feels good to one shooter will not feel good to another. So I completely understand why some people prefer Glocks, and some people prefer Springfield, and some people prefer Sigs, etc.

That said... my Springfield XDm 40 is just a fantastic gun. Glocks on the other hand are about as ergonomic as a pile of petrified doggy doo.

I'm lucky to have a glock with high cap mags in this state.

Well this picture shows the extended mag. But you shouldn't go wrong with the short 13rnd mag..

It's all personal choice. Personally I own a xd 45 and a glock 22. They each have their own personality and in the end they both go BANG when the trigger is pulled.

I would rather own an XD. Ergonomics for the main reason. It fits better than a glock, I can shoot my brothers full size 45 XD well.
