    1,000,000 dead

    Or

    100,000,000 unemployed

Which will harm our society the most?

    Come on now.

Coronavirus blows across the USA and 1,000,000 die.

    Or

We go on lockdown for six weeks, put 100,000,000 million out of work.

Which will harm the USA the most? Not your family, the USA?

It’s the truth in my opinion. You asked. I answered. Courage not needed.

1st of all , there will not be 1,000,000 deaths across the world. More likely 100,000. About what we get with a flu epidemic. And there also won't be 100,000,000 unemployed. Both numbers are BS. Granted, there will be a lot of part time jobs that will not come back but things will get back to close to normal as they always do after something like this. Only because of social media do we hear all these predictions usually by liberal media or self important individuals.

    Worldwide
    Coronavirus, 21,000 deaths.
    Seasonal flu, 113,000.
    Malaria, 228,000.
    Suicide, 249,000.
Traffic fatalities, 313, almost 314,000 deaths.
    HIV/AIDS, 391,000 deaths.
    Alcohol related deaths, 581,000.
    Smoking-related deaths, 1,162,000.
    Cancer deaths, 1,909,000 deaths.
Deaths attributed to starvation, 2,382,000 deaths.
    And death by abortion, 9,900,000.

In the first three months of this year, January 1 through March 25th.

Just some food for thought as we destroy our economy.

There's really no correct answer. Millions die every year, and millions more lose their jobs every year.
It all comes down to how prepared you are for either.
The economy will come back,it always does. It will take some time to recover, but for those that live within their means, they will survive.

I lost my job on January 8th,but I'm ready to set out the entire year without a job if I have to. I learned long ago to prepare for something bad to happen. I paid off all my debts, and saved money when I could.
Working as a self-employed/contractor,I don't qualify for unemployment,so I'm on my own until I start working again.

I don't agree with the Government Stimulus package. Giving people $1200 does little to nothing to help out. What the Government needs to do is stop all banks and creditor's from collecting any form of payment on debt until this pandemic passes. If people don't have to spend money on loans, rent,or credit card debt each month, the money they have will out last this virus in most cases for food and necessary supplies.

If it had to be done, let each and every congresscritter, both sides of the aisle, both Houses, have their assets liquidated first. Cars, houses, bank accounts... all. ANd put the assets back up for resale, get more money out of it.

The Founders meant what they said when they said "lives, FORTUNES, and sacred honor." Feh, couldnt get a blue to spell or say "honor" with flashcards and a cattle prod.

A million dead, given the circumstances at hand, is reprehensible. Vile. Not to be borne.

100 Million out of work... that can be fixed in time, and will be much suffering. Those that wish to get back to work will find a way.

100 million unemployed is much more dangerous.
Because resource creation would grind to a halt..
Resources is what feeds and houses us..

.. that may bring the grid down.
And if the grid every goes down for any we are dying like flies from the 2nd and 3rd order effects.
