I am looking for a new deer rifle and have narrowed my caliber to a 270 WSM but I can't decide on the gun. Iv picked out four a tikka t3 lite SS, a T/C venture synthetic, a Remington 700 SPS, and a browning x-bolt hunter. Unfortunately I have no experience with any of these. They all fit me well and seem to be quality guns if anyone has experience, advice, or suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Of the 4 choices given, I would get the Tikka if it was for me.

I don't own one, but I have read many raves about the

Browning X-Bolt. It shoots well, and is not picky about

ammo. I'm seriously considering getting one in 30.06.

I have a T/C in .233. Thing is stupid accurate. We were popping golf balls at 100 yards free handed

    I'd rate them T/C - Tikka - Browning - Remington.
Overall, the T/C is the best of the bunch.

I have a Venture in 7mm-08 and it is stupid accurate. No issues at all with the rifle.

The last Remington 700 I bought was a BDL in 30-06 back a couple years ago and it was a pile of dog ****. Best I could get was 3 MOA with hand loads.

I do not have any experience with the other brands you mentioned.

I would not hesitate to buy another T/C.

If you are hell bent on the .270 WSM don`t overlook Savage Arms, very fine rifles & will save you 100`s of $$`s....................

I own a Browning, Savages, Tikka, Winchester and have owned several Remingtons and Marlins, I recommend the Tikka T3 without a seconds hesitation.

The TC has an adjustable trigger and I found it pretty sweet out of the box.

I think it's a pretty darn good trigger.

I do not have any experience with the tikka.

TC has adj trigger, free floating barrel, lifetime warranty, MOA guarantee, and 100% made in the USA. Hard to beat any price.

The Tikka T3 is a great rifle, but I think the T/C is a better built rifle.
Either one would make a great hunting rifle.

Ditto here. I upgraded the trigger and she shoots 1.5 inch groups at 200 meters off the bench. Purchased used w Nikon Buckmaster scope for $400. I consider it a heckuva deal
