I assume you plan on carrying it since they are all compactish?

Check out the M&P 9 pro.
    5", super sweet trigger.

I have owned several 9mm through out the years.

In my opinon I would get one of the following

    Sig P229
    Sig P225/P6
    Ruger SR9
    Beretta/Tarurs

I'd get the Sig. If you can afford the high end model now, and you like it at least as much as the other choices, that's what I'd do. In a year from now, when you get the itch for another gun, you may not be able to afford the 225. This is assuming that none of the others feels better to you.

My favorite 9mm is the Browning Hi Power, followed by the CZ 75B. If you want the Sig, go for it. It ultimately comes down to what you like.

FWIW, I had a Glock 19 and liked it a bunch. I just prefer steel pistols.

If you are bound to stick with your list I'd go for the Sig. If you have handled all of them as well as others, ok, but I would certainly look at others that are mentioned here.

Out of your list, I'd go with the SIG (not the DAK version!) or the M&Pc. Whichever of those feels better to you.

I've been carrying a full size M&P and I'm ashamed to say that what I first considered a plastic abomination is starting to grow on me. It just works.

I knew I was forgetting a great 9mm pistol in the Browning Hi Power. I have not shot one yet but IT is on top of my purchase list. I have heard my dad talk about carrying one in Vietnam and he loved it. So I am and have been looking for a Browning new or good condition. Any one know where I can find one?

Since your looking at Plastic guns check out the Sig PS2022. All the SIG goodness at a $400+ price.

Canebrake: A man after my own heart. To this old fart, the Hi-Power is the ultimate handgun. I've got several and wouldn't trade them for anything.

I also had a SIG P228. Really nice weapon. But it didn't fit me and I could never warm up to it. So I sold it. My other two current nines are a Kahr CW-9 and a Ruger SR9c.

But, the Hi-Power controls my heart in the relm of handguns.

    First 9mm

It depends on what you're looking to use it for.
I have a full size 9mm M&P and I love it. Its not too heavy to carry and it doesn't bulge like some others do.
I had a sig 229 and loved it but found that it was just too heavy for me. I would go with the compact if you're looking for a CCW. Let me know what your choice was!

Lot's to pick from in 9mm.

Sig Sauer / Beretta / Springfield Armory / Walther / S&W / I could go on and on.

I suggest to visit a gun store and look at a lot of them .

And handle them - they all feel differently.

Then go to a range that rents or borrow your friends guns and shoot them.

    They all shoot differently.

    Good luck on your search.

Looking for a new gun is lots of fun.

    :)
