I have been on the search for some good priced .223 and cannot find anything. First stop WalMart. Yay 5.25 a box for Tula. Out of stock. Gun show! $12 a box for Tula. Really. Brass twice that. Internet is disappointing me also at $7.20 a box of wolf and $7 a box of wolf brass (if you buy a thousand)

    Walmart: .27 for 20
    Internet brass: .352 for 1000
    Internet steel: .37 for 100/ .34 for 200

Walmart is always out of stock -_-

That's odd. 5.56MM (Winchester, Federal, and/or Remington) and .40S&W and birdshot is about the only thing our local Wal-Mart consistently keeps in stock.

I'm seeing Tula 223 and American Eagle 556 in stock at Walmart almost every time I go in the store these days. Even in the evenings.

The Walmart here has .223 ammo all the time. Funny thing is the very rural Walmarts have a better supply of ammo. I guess people in the city are still reselling ammo.

We actually had almost all the Handgun calibers in Our Wally for about a week or so,..now it's back to just Shotgun & Long gun ammo again. I "bit the Bullet" and Ordered(back Ordered!) 2 more Bricks of Federal Auto Match 22's, and 2/ 100 Rd Boxes of Remington Yellow Jackets and 2 100 Rd. Boxes of CCI Mini Mag RN's, all at a reasonable Price...but still almost nothing here locally on the shelves except at the Gougers' LGS...

We'll it seems most of your walmarts keep stocked. We have people waiting in line for .223 and 9mm. Luckily there's a limit of three boxes (any size). We'll and unluckily!

Is this the Wal-Mart in Cottonwood? They are so random in the ammo they get, and it goes pretty quickly. Except for the shotgun and .30-06, they seem to have a fair amount of this.

Didn't know you were in the Area. No,..I have only gotten ANY ammo there at all about 10 Days ago, and that was the first time in over a year. When they get it in It goes Almost Instantly, and I'm not getting up at 5 am to go stand in line with the employees of the LGS who buy it to mark it up to 3 X the cost... If I go to the one in Prescott, at least the stock is better..at least at BIG 5 they order and It's not sold out all the time..

At the local Walmart last Thursday they had full shelves of ammo. Wish I would have taken a picture. Had anything you could want.

My local Wal-Marts always have 5.56/223 of some kind, has been that way for a few months. 40s and 45s are plentiful l. 9mm and 22 still unheard of.

You can get just about anything around here EXCEPT .22lr, doesn't even make sense. It's been that way for months and my 22 stash is getting real thin.

I'm only looking to keep up with what we shoot, and not run too low...(as far as 22's go..) You know With any more then just 1 22 you can burn through a brick very easy.

That's true, and we usually take several pistols and a couple of rifles when we go out shooting. Trouble is, I'm not finding anything to replace what we shoot. There's some to be found online but I refuse to be robbed.

Agree. Not all the Online vendors are Gouging customers either...Thats why we have the 'Net,..so we can search...One of the things we will discuss on the next podcast: If the industry wants us to "believe" that the shortage is over, then why are the prices still High in so many places?

I am not going to pay $25 for 550. I was digging in the barn today. I found four 550 federal bulk boxes stuck in my old toolbox. I have plenty of fresh ammo too. I wish I could have found a receipt or a price tag. I haven't used that toolbox in over 3 years.
