If you go to a range, which one is your favorite, and what do you like about it?
I'm a member here: http://www.sacvalley.org/
Over 100 acres with 100, 300, 500 and 1,000 yard rifle ranges, dedicated 50 yard pistol range, .22 Silouette range, Cowboy Town for SASS, 8 + action pistol ranges, a large trap range, a pond that you can fish if you're a member (catch & release only) and a range shop that doesn't gouge you for ammo and supplies.
My God.... welcome back! Btw, we now have state "subforums" this one being for Sillynois;P
im close enough to hop the border and shoot in bristol wi. it sucks when a group of us go and it is almost 150 for all 5 of us. but between the all the guns and ammo that come, the 30 a person the entire day isnt too bad. i havent found a better range that will accommodate for shot guns with slugs. that is within 35 min drive from me.
I'm a member at a local range it's 100 dollars per year and 7.00 when I go and can bring as many weapons as I want and 2.50 per extra person I think it's a good deal there's also an outdoor range I go for skeet 10 dollars a gun that's it
I shoot at Rinks in Lockport or Article II in Lombard.
I shoot in my backyard!
Metro Shooting Supplies (formerly Belleville Shooting Range) in Belleville IL and Bridgton, MO.
I shoot at three ranges but my favorite is the Red Brush range in SW Indiana because it is kept up very well it is always clean & most of the time there is an open bench to shoot from.
Olin pistol range in East Alton and Highland gun club.
Usually Vandalia Range and Armory or Miami Valley Shooting Grounds. Both have their advantages.
Chillicothe Sportsman's Club or on my property. Depends on what I want to shoot.
Shoot at jr's shooting sports in aurora the range is okay but over priced ranges ammo and fee
On our property
Usually at my cousin's farm but we just joined a club where we can shoot, fish, etc.

We are looking for a Trap And Skeet range to join.
Around here, commercial ranges are too expensive and too demanding of the time of the members. The unsupervised "public" ranges are too dangerous. I pushed down some trees and brush, built a berm and laid out a 150 yard range in my back yard.
There is one in Tinley Park and IIRC the fee is pretty reasonable.
