Opening weekend of duck season and I had a mishap in the field. I was using my Remington 11-87 with Remington super sonic rounds, full choke. To say the least my seer spring blew off in the middle of our shoot. When I got back to camp I broke down my gun and repaired it. Anyone ever had this happen before

I replaced one eons ago on an 1100 for a guy who said his quit dove hunting. Found a piece of the spring inside the receiver. New spring and she was good to go. My buddy was the service manager for the local Chevy dealership. They got in a brand new Corvette and could barely get it off the truck. No rings. Like Forrest said - S**t happens.

Anything mechanical will break no matter how well it is made.
