Probably a bit too late, but I just came into some money and I want to build my own AR.

I know there were a lot of good deals on the web but they all seem to be sold out and the only stripped lowers I found were somewhere along the lines of $300....

any help as to where I can find some decent deals?

well, considering this will be a piecemeal type of build, the most I was looking to spend on the lower was ~$150

I know if I wait I can get decent lowers for $90-120....so I'm hesitant to buy anything during the AWB scare...

Or you may be screwed. If the ban does pass, chances are you won't be able to get one through a FFL. I have two lowers and I thought about selling one but I don't want to gouge somebody, but at the same time I deserve a profit for getting ahead of the curve. Good luck. I hope you find one for a decent price.

What do you want for it?

Panic buying has made the prices go from $80-$150(depending on manufacturer) to $250-$500 depending on the person you're buying from. A local guys has two RRA's for $275 each, you could get em' for around $125 before all this crap started. It's really sad to see firearms owners taking advantage of each other like this but I guess they're selling at what the market will bare.

I bought a lower for $99 a month before the shooting. I got a second lower for $109 two days before the shooting and the gun shop had 12 left. I scrounged and bought another $109 lower the day after the shooting and the shop had 4 left. I doubt they have any left now.
I have now sold them all for a tidy profit. Yep, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Did you laugh in his face? Tell him to sell it to some jackass with more money than brains.

Here's one from the gun show today. They got an ear full from me when I saw it. Along with the people selling PMags for 75-100 depending on if they're 20 rounds or 30..
$1000 for stripped lower? The seller, and whoever buys it are complete and total idiots.
