Regardless of what what congress and Odumba do regarding "Gun Control", we know that they will not address the issues with the mentally ill that are amoung us and school security. It will just be a matter of time before we have another Sandy Hook or Columbine incident and we will be right back fighting for our rights again.

I feel like We need to keep pressing congress for dedicated armed security in schools and concealed carry for teachers that wish to have that option even after the dust has settled. Same goes for taking an agressive approach to the mentally ill and kids that are routinely put on mood altering drugs. We need to keep the pressure on and take a pro active position instead of having to always defend our side of things. If they won't pass meaningful legislation in these areas then the next Sandy Hook will be on them.

The NRA needs to pursue this too and not wait for the next incident. Keep those efforts in the news until we get some meaningful results. What say you?

The mental health nut is going to be a tough one to crack, and I suspect that few in DC want to touch it. Several things can be done to improve school security. Have volunteers trained and armed, and remain un-named so that no one knows who is armed or not armed. Drop the gun free zones idea; it is a magnet for kooks. And make it a policy for responsible journalists to not name the shooter; that might reduce the copycat events.

But we've gotta be careful.

They will offer to address mental health if we agree to "address" gun control. And if we stand up to them, they will use the MSM toi tell the public they offered to address mental health, but we aren't serious because we refused to compromise.

The Democrats will never blame Hollywood or Doctors or drugs for this problem. The Actors and the AMA along with the Drug companies pump big money into the DNC.
The small amount of money we have in the NRA is nothing compared to these Obama supporters. In the end we will get the entire blame for the school shootings.
