little known fact- Elvis was cloned without his knowledge by a doctor. Doc recovered some of the King's DNA from one of those sweaty hankies tossed to the audience at a performance- IN LAS VEGAS!

That is why you see all the Elvises (Elvi?) in Vegas!!!

It must be true- I read it on the internet. They even had a photo of the handkerchief.

    :p

I think you are correct on the DNA issue.. Elvis is no longer just a person. He is now a race which populates Las Vegas and Branson, Mo.

I mean seriously, can there really be an money in impersonating Elvis? Or are all of those guys just flippin' idiots?

This doesn't make sense to me. Would you then be 77 years old? I think I'm missing something here.

I once had the misfortune of seeing an Elvis impersonator. It was pretty lousy, I don't know how the guy made any money.

Nope. It was me. Bad math. Never my strong point to say the least. Elvis was 41 when he died, so when he was my age he had been dead for 6 years.

Okay. My math is bad, too. That's why I thought it was me. If I remember right, I believe Elvis was 42 when he died.

There is money there. I've met and talked with some Elvis impersonators. They weren't rich, but they were all comfortable.

I used to know one. He was just a weirdo who loved Elvis. He used to ride a Harley that was shaped like a guitar. I think Elvis actually owned it at one time or something. Nice guy, but totally off the deep end for Elvis. I think he was an electrician or a plumber during the day and did the Elvis thing on weekends. Always had the hair going though.

If you want a real trip, take a tour of Graceland on Elvis' birthday!
Among other sights, you will see women weeping over his grave who weren't even born when Elvis was alive.

Apparently Elvis does still live…if only in the hearts of his fans.

I do like his music. I remember when he was making appearances at local events around here. My younger sister still talks of Dad not allowing her to go see him at a town about 20 miles from here. (He was just developing that 'hip' movement thing that Ed Sullivan couldn't show) :)

If I'm ever in the area with some free time I will visit Graceland, but not on his birthday unless the planets align that way without me knowing it. Certainly not a destination I will ever have on my bucket list (nor any other site manufactured by some celebrity or another).

Arlington on the other hand? Bucket list. Just sayin'.
