I bet that's one heck of a pistol. I made my first Beretta purchase recently too, a standard 92FS. It's very nice so I imagine the Elite LTT is just awesome.

There are no 1st generation New Frontiers, they we introduced later in the production of second generation SAAs. A second generation New Frontier typically brings a premium over early 3rd gen NF's. Most serious collectors look down their nose at 3rd gen NF's, especially those of the early 1980's vintage.

There was, but they were called "Flat Tops".

Yes flat top targets with windage adjustable only rear sights were introduced in the late 1800s.

The New Frontier name was coined in 1961 and revolvers with both elevation and windage adjustable sights hit the street about 1962.

I have never heard any of the serious colt guys on the colt forum refer to flat tops as 1st gen NF's.

    YMMV

Told myself when I saw the P365 had a manual safety that that would be my next.....fate takes a turn and I bought a Sub2k G17. No regrets. I still plan on buying the P365 when it becomes available with the manual safety.

My two Ruger SR1911 are enough...

I missed out on a lightly used Browning 1911-22 the other day.. I was a day late getting to the LGS

She is a sweet, soft shooter and very accurate (more accurate than me). Double action is smooth and the single action is a little heavier than I am accustom to, but I have already decided to purchase Langdon's trigger kit in a bag. It may take a while, but I will give an update once I have installed it.

Accidentally brought home a CZ75 pre B and a EAA witness 10mm compact last week. I didn't realize till I handled them how much I needed them :)
