Man, I really need to get my hands on a CZ P07. I "think" I want one but I don't buy any gun new unless and until I can put my hands on one but can't find anyplace that has one. If I do and I like it....cha ching. Still looking.
go to a gun range that has one and rent one if you can.
I've been looking at the PX4 but I want it in 45 ACP as I am "old school". I've had a variety of 45's but I always gravitate back to my 1911. It is kind of like my wife. Had em both for 40+ years and you get intimately familiar with them.

I totally get that. There was a P75 at my LGS for a few weeks and I scooped her up yesterday. I had been pondering it for a while....plastic or metal frame..... The verdict was metal frame even though there is a price difference (what's that got to do with guns?). Got her home with some Double Tap hollow points and, man oh man, does that weapon feel really good in the hand. It is a chunk of firearm. I would be shooting it today but feel kind of puny which is not a good time to deal with guns.

My next of "too many guns" will be an as close to original 1911 as possible. Mr. Browning was definitely a genius, having several of his Belgium specimens in my abode. How someone can envision firearms that have stood the test of time like his have makes him a genius in my book.

My wife recently inherited an FN 1900 (made under the Browning patent by FN) which, as I understand it, came right before Mr. Browning conceived the 1911. It was made between 1890 and 1900 according to the interweb and the machining, fit and finish are remarkable. It shoots the 32acp very accurately. It has been carried. Her father was a barber and it probably was kept in his pocket or a drawer for decades and probably came from his father. Sorry for the book here. Appreciate your advice which was good.

Yeah I love my old beat up .357. Gonna have to get it blued soon, maybe get a new forcing cone, and have the trigger gone through....some day.
Your 629 is awesome, and soon I'm gonna get a 4" version of that pistol. I have 3 handguns, and they're all Smith And Wesson. My carry gun is an old Mod 59 I've had for a long time.

I just bought a CZ 75 I haven't even shot yet. Felt puny the day after I bought it so stayed away from the shootin' place.

BTW, years ago I bought a S&W Model 59 that I could not get to fire ANYTHING that wouldn't jamb right at once per 50 rounds. No matter what I did, factory ammo of all kinds, reloads of all lengths, bullet types, powder, you name it and the gun either FTFed or FTEed. I didn't want to have a new gun worked on or sent back so I sold it to someone that knew my problems (full transparency) then bought, for $200, a brand new Mini-14 which has been the best gun purchase decision I ever made. Me and that gun have killed some varmits, and things by the ton. In spite of it's reputation, it drives nails and it is an extension of my body. I absolutely love the Mini-14 and Garand action and will never own another S&W pistol again. Revolver either since they have the "Hillary lock" on them now. I have an old S&W Model 37 I will never part with though. Super great CC SD gun. So, there you have it.

well, I screwed up and bought a girsan MC9 and the little bitty tube for the dot fell out of the rear sight/red dot.
The NRA rifleman gave it rave reviews. I sent the sight off to them to hopefully get it fixed or replaced. Got like a total of 150 rounds through it.
When I get it back, I'm going to trade it off on a smith and wesson. the ONLY 9 mm I've found that i like is a 9 mm Bulgarian Makarov.
I shoot my 1911 much better. I don't know why I am bothering with a 9.

I like my Bulgarian Mak also. Have plenty of pre-crazy priced ammo for it too. :)
