I want a high capacity 9mm and don't know what that will be after I sell something else first. I can just go buy one but I sell stuff first because I'm programmed that way and I have too much stuff.

I am not a Glock person. CZ's intrigue me very much. What else is favored without a "Glock like" safety? No safety on triggers for me. I'm still not over liking revolvers and likely will never be but they only shoot 5 or 6 times. Zombies come in larger herds than that....

get a 686 that holes 8 rounds!! then practice to get really GOOD with speed loaders. I've seen some guys shoot there wheel guns and reload quicker then I can my semi auto 1911.

I just bought a 686 6 in barrel with factory port on it and it shoots double action with hot loads (125 grain at about 1500 FPS) with very little recoil muzzle flip.

Mine is a dash 5 so it does not have that stupid key lock that WILL LOCK when you NEED it unlocked!

Three of my favorites:
Beretta Px4 Storm Compact
CZ P07
Walther P99AS

Beretta and CZ can be had or set up to have manual safety or decocker.
Walther is Decocker only
Each is Double action though, so for a revolver guy, that should be right in the comfort zone.

Thank you for the advice and info. I will be "on the hunt" for more protection soon. I wish I didn't feel the NEED for it.

If you don’t want a Glock, and are considering a CZ, that CZ P07 that SSGN has is a good choice. And it looks great too!

How you like the grip on that PX4? It looks like it would be nice for larger hands.

So, the next question is, where do I walk in and buy that CZ I choose to like? I would think (but haven't shopped) that they aren't just laying around.

My gut is telling me this idiocy going on isn't going away for a long time if ever. I want to be prepared. I don't believe in going down easy......for anybody. I shoot back.

After 30+ rounds through the Star Wars gun, my sholder was a bit sore.. Its supposed to be low recoil, I guess I'm a 12ga pansy.. I think I like my S&M 500 a lil better.

I have Medium sized hands. My only complaint with the Px4 grip is that it does not have texture as aggressive as I like. I stippled my grip to my personal liking. It comes with three back straps to help folks with larger or smaller hands. The medium one works fine for me.

either online or find a store that stocks them near you.

in my neck of the woods fun selection has been fairly good still, while ammo shelves remain close to bare. Guess folks figure if they cant feed em, they don’t need to buy another. My local Sportsman’s Warehouse gets CZs in fairly regularly, and their website will let me order to have one shipped to the store near me. My last CZ purchase was through a FFL dealer near me, who ordered what I wanted.

Man, I really need to get my hands on a CZ P07. I "think" I want one but I don't buy any gun new unless and until I can put my hands on one but can't find anyplace that has one. If I do and I like it....cha ching. Still looking.

OK, making progress here. I just ordered a CZ P 07 from my favorite LGS who has to get it from the distributor, if they have any. It may be in tomorrow or it may take 6 months. I have enough ordinance to get me through the interim period, I hope. Man must have more guns today. "They" are making me feel that way.

You know, as long as these things are taking to arrive, you'd think there'd be a "Free massage!" coupon, or something.

Still, it's a CZ. Hard not to like that.

Me, I prefer guns with more heft. Never yet owned one, yet have fired many, but a nice, well-used, well-treated, classic Belgian Browning Hi-Power would do nicely. Hmmm ...

Oh, part of the deal was more than just the massage......I wish....

Anybody should want a Belgian Browning anything. FN makes some fantastic guns. I have four of them in their home.

I have a 1972 Belgium made Browning BLR in .308. It was my first deer rifle.
One of my Belgium Brownings was definitely made pre-war and probably made shortly after if not during WWI. It was my Dad's and his Dad's and has killed too many ducks to count. The wifey has an FN 1900 she just inherited from her mother. It fits better than most guns and was machined, of course, before CNC machining came along. Old can be good.
