You've had the VP9 for, what?, about 2yrs now? Do you still like it as much as ever? How has it behaved, in terms of reliability and quality?

Recently picked up a P30 9mm, in the V1 "Lite" LEM variation. A tad slick on the plastic (with the faint stippling), which I might rectify with a bit of judiciously-applied DIY stippling that's more prominent. But, otherwise, the P30's pretty darned nice.

Had a P2000SK some years back. The P30's even better, IMO.

    Haven't owned a VP9. (Prefer the hammer-fired approach, myself.)

I like it a lot, the mag release is a little different but its not hard to get used to. Its run 100% with all types of ammo. Compared to a glock it has better stock sights, a better trigger but more expensive magazines

All of them! Personally- I’ve always wanted a 36- I love the J frame. It’s definitely on my list of stuff to get- it’s just not my next purchase- looks like my next purchase is gonna be my dedicated moose rifle- I was looking at a used all weather Ruger NO. 1 with a Leopold scope in 338 Win Mag at a local shop. Definitely a heavy gun- but I want that to tame the recoil of a 338. Got no problem with having to lug around a super heavy rifle if it means I get to not shatter my shoulder bone.

The model 69 is definitely a great gun- but I’ve always thought that the blued 36 looked better with the classic wood grips. With black rubber grips- I like stainless- so the 60 would be better for that- but there isn’t anything much cooler than a blued j frame with the classic tiny wood grips.

I love the classic snub nose 36. To me, if I want a long barrel revolver I’d get either a Ruger Blackhawk or an N frame. But if it feels good- do it. In the end- firearms are very subjective. Most people around me prefer double action revolvers for bear/moose carry- but I’m a die hard single action fan. Whatever you think will protect you from an attacker or an animal best, or let you get the best shot on game, or you will shoot most accurately with on the range, is the gun for you.

That’s what I temple myself everytime I buy a new one to fill a function that I already have. Sometimes we all need to feed our addiction.
