money.........the stuff that makes the wife faint when she hears you spent it on a shotgun.
this was meant to be a picture thread, but I keep forgetting where I am......
I bet few have owned a "magic" shotgun. One Christmas, I bought my wife a Model 42 Winchester .410, thinking she would enjoy shooting again. Mistake.
It turned into a china cabinet.
A couple of 686's in Sporting and an 828U in Sporting each ran about $2800 NIB. I think the 828U has came down some, I got it fresh off the line. But my three favorites are my Charles Daley O/U (BC Miroku) my Citori 325 and my 870TC.
They are locked up in the shotgun safe...
it might be a difficult to post pictures of shotguns that a person hasn't owned in over twenty years.
what in blazes does that mean?
English language 101.
'what's': what is.
not what was.
who wants to buy me these?
A.H. Fox Stearlingworth 20 Ga. Double Barrel Side by Side.
Followed by a Charles Daly Superior Grade O/U 12 ga.
Just bought a new to me shotgun. Mossberg New Haven 650AT 12 gauge pump. (Mossberg 500) Cost the princely sum of $130 otd of the pawn shop.
Well I purchased a Classic Double 101 34"-30"trap combo. I think I it was $1,800 in 1990. And many years later found a Browning grade one undersingle for $2,100.
The Browning was one of the 34 that where built the first year of production.
i'szz got two 24 Gun gun safes and need two more... got no room at the Inn.
Most expensive.....I think the Spartan (Remington) O&U....about $425.
Then a Mossberg 500...from the local Walmart....I'm thinking about $225
And of course the single shot Stoeger.....about $125 at the LGS. Break action with a finger break behind the trigger....not a bad looking gun for the $$$....but lightweight and kicks fairly hard even with low brass bird shot.
So my three shotguns are totally worth less than most guns.....but I like them anyway.
