Got new mags from work, they are all marked " restricted in USA post 13.09.94". They seem to be standard 17rnd mags, so what's up with the restriction notice. I got 6 of them as extras to the normal load I usually have, all of them in vac-pac bags, never used.

You can thank Bill Clinton as that was part of the assault weapons ban done in 94. Some of our states do restrict mags to 10 rounds or less...

That might explain why they appeared after the exchange visit to Kentucky before Christmas ( stayed in Millersberg) guess the QM went on the scrounge for kit.

Because any pistol with a mag capacity above 10 rounds must be an assault weapon--so went the logic.

Thankfully, it only applies in a few liberal states now...

    Logic

Never seems to be much logic when you involve the elected representatives, stlll amazed that they managed to restrict standard mags to ten rounds. Looks like you guys have the same numptys that banned handguns on the mainland in the country I live in must be on the same wavelength as yours, at least I live on the island away from that form of stupidity, they havn't quite got round to us yet. Living in a transitional war zone has it's benifits.

Yeah but after the Tucson tragedy, I'm afraid it will be coming back for all us. Those poor people weren't even laid to rest and legislation was being introduced.

    Populist vote

That will be the populist stance, seen what happened here after one mass shooting, total handgun ban. Don't like to tell you about the amount of people killed every year on the road as a comparison . BAN VECHILES FROM THE ROAD AND SAVE LIVES:rolleyes:. If they could they would. There should be a cooling off period before they get to introduce new laws after an incident like that.
