Anyone know much about billet and if its better or lighter?
Billets run heavier but stronger, they look more boxy to my eye.
So problem not worth the change
To some folks they are. It's all about personal preference. But when PSA lowers are 50 bucks, why bother?
But to each his own. I'd rather have 4 PSA's than one billet. But gdit, I really wanna check out that AX556.......
Some would argue that a forged lower is actually stronger due to the forging process itself. Major advantage of a billet lower is the amount of customization or "uniqueness" a manufacturer can design into it. Forged lowers are pretty much cookie cutter copies of one another, since billet lowers are generally hand designed and machined they can be more elaborate...of course that comes at a price.
I recently picked up a billet lower through a vendor here for less that $150 and I do agree, they are boxy looking and sharper on the corners but the price was right.
Oh ok thanks helped alot just needed to know a little something about em. Ill pick one up if the price is right
