Just wondering...what's the least expensive, yet fully operational and reliable, AR-15 that you have built? Were the parts new or used? I'm more curious about the new builds.

I built one about a year ago for 625. It was almost fully psa (palmetto state armory). Believe it or not it had a free floated monolithic upper and fully decked in magpul furniture.

Found one in a pawn shop with a broken bolt and missing the selector detent and spring. Bought it for $350 "As is" and fixed it. Put a baked on coating on it, and a sling. Had under $450 into it. Used it as my beater and ammo test platform. Turned out to be super reliable. Finally sold it to a buddy who really wanted to have an AR but was on a super tight budget. Sold it for what I had invested in it. He still has it and shoots the snot out of it.

Pic is from before I stripped all the paint off of it and made it Black again.
