What's the formula used to determine shot size for various bore diameters

    I believe you used your bore diameter & multiplied it by a four digit number to determine the largest shot size for tiers of three.

    I found it, it's .4641.

    Multiply the barrel diameter with that & you'll get the proper shot size.
    Evidently .45 caliber pistol balls stack well in a 1" blunderbuss :D

    There a specific name for this formmula? I have no clue what you're talking about and want to look it up.
