Wasr 10 and a Wasr 10/63---just wondering what is the difference between these two rifles.

The WASR-10 was "ban era" configuration with Dragunov style thumb hole stock and 10 round magazine. The WASR-10/63 has the "protruding pistol grip" stock and 10 round mag.

Many have been modified to accept standard capacity AK magazines. Many of those were done so illegally as section 922r is still in effect and a rifle of such a configuration cannot have more than 10 imported parts. To modify the magazine well requires the addition of several US made parts with trigger group parts being the most common. Tapco makes US replacement parts that are stamped "US" to prove they are US made.
