Today is my brother's 60th birthday. Hahahahaha....

Well, anyway, I sent him a text and he texted back he bought himself a birthday gift. He bought a "1920 Commerical Luger. All numbers matching and two matching numbered wooden bottomed mags with holster". He paid $1,200. Did he overpay or is that what something like that would go for ?

Could be a little high, but so much depends on condition. Have seen some nice 1920s go for $850-$950, but with one unnumbered mag, no holster.

BTW, many of those were not 9mm, but .30 Luger (7.65mm). Looks like this-

C3 is correct, that might be a little high, but I have seen em go for more than that & if he got what he wanted for $1,200.00 then he did OK. All I can say is if it is .30 Luger, don`t be trying no .30 Mauser in it, that would be a waste of a good hand & gun...............
