G 81. By mistake. It was a gift.

Sorry folks, I just do not like GLOCK’s, either their pistols or their knives.

The glocks you own, what type of magazines do you use for them?
Jeniva, How about introducing yourself and tell everyone a little bit about who you are and why you are on a gun forum. Then you'll probably get a number of folks responding to your questions.

Ok! Thank you for the advice!
My name is Jeniva. I am new to this forum. I am new to guns in general. I've been looking into buying a gun but I'm not sure which. I may ask a lot of silly questions because I honestly just started learning about how to buy a gun and how to obtain a permit, etc.

Try and find a range near you that rents guns and may also offer a class for new shooters. Renting guns is a good way to figure out what you do and do not like about different makes and models.

Don't law enforcement use glock 17 & 18s? I thought they are not available to the public.
Yes, LEO use Glock pistols. I guess depending on the country they can be non available for public, like Italy where 9mm Luger is (or used to be) not available for public.

Here in Germany Glock ist one of the most bought make for dynamic pistol shooting.

I have one and I hate it.......:)

Naturlich! Im Los Angeles ein glock ist popular. Tut mir leid, my German is so bad nowadays. I learned Spanish since I live in California aber meine mutter kommt auf Deutschland. But I always had problems writing it >.>

Which glock type is the most popular, do you know? And you hate your gun? DX I doubt. What ammo do you use or what ammo is the glock you own build to use?

I guess Glock 17 Gen 4 and 5 aswell as Glock 19 Gen 5 are the most popular here in Germany.

I have no real preference in Ammo. I shoot any brand I can get my hands on, mostly Magtech 124grain FMJ or 115grain FMJ.
But also S&B 124 grain or Geco.

They all work and all fly downrange without any hickups.

I never really like the Glock pistols, even that I own one. I just got weak and couldn`t pass the offer my gunsmith made me on it...;-)

I don`t like the trigger and the gripsize. But I love shooting it in my CAA MicroRoni.

For what the Glock is made, it does exactly what it should. Quick shots and quick followup shots. Close range up to 10m or 15m good accuracy.
Going back to 25m, I suck with the Glock 17.....;-)
