Those thats got them now, have no fear, nobody will try to take the, this time...

We the Sheeple havent figured out their patented divide and conquer technique. Take a huge group of dissenters and start picking them apart until they no longer represent a force, only a bunch of sub categories that cannot rally behind a single flag.

Lets be serious for a moment, If youve got one or a bunch of "AW's", a new AWB with Grandfathered clauses will double or triple the worth of your Weapons and HC Mags overnight! Worse things could happen in an economy as bad as ours, Right?

Folks like me who dont own any and really have no intentions of owning any probably wont personally feel any discomfort because of another AWB, Right?

That only leaves a virtual handful of disgruntled and angry gun lovers that want AW's if they dont have any or want more of them if they already have a bunch and they are the bad ones anyways, Right?

By the time they are done parsing us, the only one they will have to negotiate with is the NRA and compromise will only come from them, BHO wont budge, he wont have to! All that will be left is a disheveled bunch of groups that cannot agree on what we will accept as collateral damage...

A reinstatement of the Clinton AWB and a prohibition on mag capacity of more than 10 rounds is probably a lock. They are burying little children in CT. That image is a pretty powerful motivator and given the prevailing mood even NRA-backed politicians are caving in.

I'd also expect at least an attempt to expand the 3-day wait and make background checks more comprehensive; possibly including access to medical/mental health records.

Guns you already own are safe, not only because they've stated this, but because any call for a surrender of privately owned-firearms or any attempt to confiscate would be a legal and logistical impossibility...not to mention a bloody catastrophe.

i have to agree with Nitestalker on this. right now there is so many conflicting stories and not all the facts have come out. i think when all the facts surface, then we can make a more informed opinion on this subject.
Agree in principle, but that assumes that "all the facts surface". Remember who controls what "facts" surface... the anti-gun, libtard, media. Think about where all the stories came from that referred to every different caliber and type of gun. Our 1st Amendment protected press. Sometimes frustrating to go around supporting 2A, when one of the main purposes of 2A is to protect 1A, and the exercisers of 1A are trying so hard to kill 2A. Grrrrr....

<<rant off>> Sorry about that.:(

IMHO "Shall Not Be Infringed" pretty much makes every Federal Firearm Law they've put on the books since the '34 NFA to current ones "null and void". States have the Right to pass any restrictive firearms laws that they wish as long as it doesn't go against their State Constitution but then you're also free to more to a more Gun Friendly State if your State starts to pass such laws.

States are not allowed to. They can not circumvent the constitution.
They can't censor the press, institute a state religion, disallow women to vote, nor put blacks into slavery.
The constitution prohibits this.

The powers NOT granted by the constitution are left to the states respectively.

If you think this is going down easy get focused. Harry Ried D. Speaker of the Senate. He will not say that he will support the Prez. on gun control. This is about votes. It has nothing to do with safety.

what is the point of speculating about it? get a stripped lower for an AR or AK NOW, and add the parts as you can afford to do so. If you aint going to buy one, why worry about it, hmm?

Has anyone informed the Gov. in CA, CT,NJ,NY or IL of this little factoid? All of those States have blatantly UnConstitutional firearms laws on their books. ;)
Sorry Frank.

By law, it isn't unconstitutional until it's been ruled on by the SCOTUS.

Read this in a gun magazine 20 years ago.

I wish it would be mandatory in all of our schools.

the point is it's unconstitutional in the first place! and if they pass another AWB or stricter gun control laws, then it makes it much more difficult to get some of these firearms.

a person might not want one now or maybe they have to save up to buy one, or what about some of our younger members who right now can't legally buy one, but in a few years can, and if they pass another AWB or impose stricter gun control laws, then they won't have the opportunity to buy one.

sounds like you seem to support more gun control or at the very least, feel there is no reason to fight against it. and if this is your stance, then IMO, you have no business owning any firearms in the first place.

Not true. 2008 SCOTUS ruling incorporates the 2nd Amendment to the states making the 10th Amendment Null & Void.

If our law makers followed the laws - this wouldn't be a discussion - but they dont follow rules that get in the way of whatever conquest they're on this week.

THEY CAN TAKE ONE THING TO THE BANK! I WILL NOT SURRENDER ANY OF MINE!
I will not cower into the Libertards and news media running our government.
These laws will do absolutely nothing as it did in the Bradey Bill times. Since Obama is in bed with the Movie Industry lets see if he does anything with them or the liberal socialist AHs who took discipline and God out of our schools and family lives. Oh did I mention doing anything with the Mental Illness programs and video games! Until then they can suck wind! Lets start fixing problems instead of promoting personal political agendas!

Okay a little off topic but I am really pissed about this the more I think about it and I just need to get it off my chest. The same people (media, liberals, etc.) blaming us gun owners for killing people with our guns are the same freakin ones that support abortion and the ending of a life. How in the hell is this any different???? Come on people us your head!

Okay, I feel better now, thank you!

My problem is I sold one of my handguns a couple weeks ago with plans of building my first AR next year. Let the wife use the money to get a couple gifts for the kids. Was just going to get my lower and some parts this week with my Christmas bonus. Then all this happened and everything sky rocketed. Going to lgs all over town tomorrow see if a lower is available for something I can live with till crap clears.
