1950 Chevy step side pick up. Body and interior were mint, motor didn't run. It was given to me by my papaw, and we never could get it running, even with a complete tear down and rebuild, we were obviously missing something important.

First running truck, 1965 Ford F100. 300 straight six, 3 on the tree shifter, pulled it out of a field as per the landowner's request, "get it the hell out of here and you can have it, it's in my way" cost me a little over $20 for the registration and title transfer, and like 15 or so for a carb rebuild kit, and I was on the road. That truck was an adventure, the horn would blow when I hit the clutch, and I carried at least 4 gallons of brake fluid with me at all times.

First car was a 72 Nova. Paid $50 for it, dad went the other $50 hence paying half. I had a 350 small block, high rise edelbrock intake, 750 double dumper holley, (forget the lift and duration of the cam), headers...the works! built and ready to drop in the hole @ 16.

Dad said, "you have to wait to drop that 350 in until the original engine is wore out" me in my inexperienced youth thought, "I'll kill that old motor in no time" it had a 250 straight 6 in it.

MAN i miss my 78 T/A!! (as with all my speed demons) had the motor built and tuned, trany and rear end re-done and was in the process of getting the body and interior done when a 3/4 ton conversion van decided to not stop (never even touched the brakes) when i did to let an ambulance out in to traffic.

I gave up the speed and went to trucks then......had kids to pay for! My oldest to this day will give me hell about getting rid of "our race car."

I inherited grandma's 1978 Nova Custom. 4 door, wire wheel hub caps with white walls. Mint green in and out with vinyl seats. It was in great shape and had less than 40k on it. It had a 305 V8 and became the party car. Not a cool Nova, but it rocked.

1955 Chevy 3100 stepside long bed pick up truck. It had a 235 cu. in. straight 6 with a granny gear 4 speed transmission. It had a bad clutch, a couple of bad wheel cylinders, a screwed up carb, and a couple or so burned cylinder head valves. It also needed some body work. Learned to perform all the work to fix these things and then some. Got it for $100.00. planned on keeping it but a fellow who worked for the railroad really wanted it when I had fixed it up and he eventually made my a deal I couldn't refuse. Sold it for $1400.00. I remember that I more than doubled my money for what he paid for it.

My first car was a 98 dodge neon, my mom got a new car and i took over the payments, that was in 2000. Guess it was perfect for a 16 yr old cause it was a 4 banger, not much power but great on gas. It was a pretty good car.

I was the proud owner of a 1955 Candy Apple Red Ford 2 Dr. With that ultra powered 6 cyl! LOL Gave $500 for it and payed my boss a little each week while I was a sack boy at a local grocery part time.
Although, I did have 411 Gears and a two barrel carb manifold, and header and a three speed on the floor which made it faster than most 6s!
Scubie and AZ! I know you would be disappointed in me to know I spent a lot of my younger days Drag Racing. Yes! if you must ask! On the street as well as at the track. Did eventually graduate from the 6 cyl. engines to 426s and Hemis and the like however. The thing I liked least about my little 55 Ford was that I went through a set of synchronizers on second gear about every month! Sorry the statute of limitations has looooooong ran out for arrest!

1985 Jeep CJ7. Saved up for the down payment and bought it from a dealer (dad co-signed on it) in 1986. I was 16 years old, and paid 8500.00. The dealer said "These tires are great!" (they were stock road tires-Tiger Paws) but I must have thought he meant "great in mud".... they weren't.

It's all been downhill from there. I've had over 30 Jeeps and currently own 8 or 9 of them.

That was the most fun vehicle I've ever had though.
