Curious if anybody would know what would've been the standard issue rifle the Swiss Army would've had in the mid to late 1970's.

Can't remember the model. STG xx. 7.5 Swiss. It was a big heavy and expensive rifle.

Closest to a civvy version is the SIG 510. In semi auto, and in caliber 7.62 NATO instead of 7.5 Swiss. Neither it or the 57 is a pretty rifle- but works.

Thanks for the replies. I definitely want one of these. Circulation seems pretty limited. Any ideas what a good example might fetch?
