If I do purchase another gun in the future it will be a full size Glock in 9mm to compliment my EDC G43. I look at it this way, If The SHTF and I somehow I have to Bug Out, I will have at least 2 handguns and my SUB2000 Carbine in 9mm and maybe my Shotgun in 20 gauge. I can fit the Carbine in my back pack and I will be using only 9mm without the shotgun. Even though I am in good shape for my age (76), I have to consider the weight that I will have to carry and the concealment factor. So at this time and the near future, I will be looking to purchase a full size Glock, maybe the G17 or G34! I hope it never comes to that point in my life but I need just one more gun!

4 digit 1967. Pre B model (BB) in .280 rem. Has the vertical split rings.
Per the classic Sporting Arms collector table, a rare one ( 4 catagories based on total points..... common, uncommon, rare and super rare ). Around 75 or so in this config.

Looked for an 8X AO leupold to put ob it. Missed out on a reasonable one.

No 280 ammo around ( did find Fed premium elsewhere ).

Might go mule deer hunting some time, might shoot a whitetail here off a field.
No way its bangin up to a stand or getting rained on.

I was having some problems with my RAR 22 mag and was looking at a different rifle. Ruger got it working and it likes Hornady 30 grain ammo. I would prefer it liked 40-50 grain. I was looking at the possibility of a semi auto like the Savage A22 or the CZ 512. Not to set on semi in 22mag and was also thinking of a Savage 93 Minimalist bolt when the Henry pump in 22 mag came up. If the Ruger does not shape up I might get the pump. Thought about a CMR 30 for my wife but the way she goes through ammo it may not be a good idea.

Be sure it’s a reputable dealer and you have a FFL holder lined up to receive it

Took it to the show, maybe 3 higher end gun tables there. One thought it a #3.........yeah right. Played stupid, to see if I was. Had a price on it. No counters.
    Fine w me.
If my number is hit, away it goes. If not, scope it and pop critters.
Did sell my fingergroove 10/22.........to a dealer. I broke even on it. Shoulda made a few bucks but hey, even is better than losing and it made space in the safe for the #1.

Wanted to hit a shop, they were selling an A5 20 ga for me. Proly lose 50 bucks on it. Should be gone, as they let somebody put it in layaway, couple months ago. Hmmm, thought consignments were no layaway.

Whatever, I'm pretty mellow. Heck, he might know a collector of #1s.

Did see some used Leupolds at this show, but not clean enough or in power range I want for the #1. Everything else I have scoped. Even have a 2-7X waiting for another rifle.........like a #1 in .44 mag maybe? LOL Or a stainless 7mm 08 ?

If I was really ready it would be a toss up between a Noreen bn36 and a garand

I noticed another Weatherby with the bolt on the wrong side at the LGS today. Very nice wood stock, couple dings near the buttplate but nothing major. This one is a .300 win mag, maybe when I have more money to blow.

I plan on getting a 300 win mag by the end of the year. Eventually I’d like to get an FAL. I also want a CZ75-though that isn’t a rifle.

270 is a great cartridge for large and medium game- and the 77 is an awesome rifle- great controlled feed bolt

Thanks BullMoose429. I did a bunch of research before I put money down on this great used rifle at my favorite gun store. I got a fair price on it. Should get it out by Thanksgiving.

Swung by a shop and there was a totally spray camo'd Ruger 77 MK II all weather in .308. Wrong pad added.

8 hrs of acetone/ paper towels (2 rolls) and its cleaned. Scope is Trijicon 3-9x.
Dunno if tritium dead, works fine as fiber optic though. Found the orig pad at shop.in a box ( they bought a bunch of stuff from a guy ).
