Can anyone identify the make and model of the pistol being shot by Oscar Pistorius (on trial for homicide in South Africa)?

    Thanks,

    AJ

Looks to be a stainless steel Beretta 92FS.

In this resolution, most likely a stainless-finished Beretta 92 or its clone.

Safety is like that of the earlier 92 Beretta, or the Taurus 92. The shorter barrel is like that of the Centurion compact.

The mismatch of color between slide and frame plus the pimped hammer, and coarse slide serrations..... makes me think it a Taurus.

Frame mounted safety, and its not a Steel I so its a Taurus of some make.

Kind of hard to tell, but likely a Vector Z-88 Beretta 92 clone or Vector SP-1.

    Another Image

It does look like a Beretta 92 Compact but the pistol doesn't have an ambidextrous safety. All the 92 Compacts seem to have the safety on both sides.

Here's another image of the pistol in question:

The current ones all do, on the older ones it wasn't std. You either added it or it was extra from the factory...

It fires so it might not be a Taurus ;)

    ID Confirmed

The pistol is indeed a Taurus PT 92 CS. (Note the short barrel protrusion at the muzzle; other models have a longer muzzle protrusion).

    Thanks to all who commented.
