I am looking into getting a lever rifle and there are so many choices out there that I cant make up my mind, what do you guys think? Points to consider- 1) Will be shot for fun only, not used for hunting. 2) It will not be scoped, I usually prefer irons. 3) I would like something that has ammo easily availible at resonable price. 4) I used to have a Marlin 30-30 that I got for under $200 at wallmart, I liked it, what do you all think of this rifle? 5) I dont want another .22 or .17 6) Would like to keep price at $600 or less, less is good. 7) My 90lb woman will be shooting this also, so nothing that will blow her shoulder off. 8) I like the looks of wood stocks, so would prefer wood. 9) The longest ranges that it will be shot at are ~250 yards. Thanks, Paul Edit: Forgot to mention but I am also into old/antique guns so something that is old but still affordable would be nice.
