Anyone know what the current slimmest 9mm handgun model is right now?

I'm thinking of getting a CC permit here pretty soon and my Glock 19 is still pretty uncomfortable with an IWB holster. Feels like a shoved a brick down my pants.

I'm a pretty big guy, so that may be why. ;)

Ive done some research and I think the Kel-Tec PF9 might be the slimmest...

i would bet the colt new agent would be on top. i would opt for it in 45acp rather than 9mm. it does come in both. its 13/16" wide

mine in 45acp. its just barely wider than the magazine-clip

Kahr's are very slim. Pretty easy to find the answers you need with a little Google and a visit to Bud's online to find current 9mm models...

Every add that Kahr runs in the magazines right now are about how slim their pistols are. I know that Walther has some very slim pistols as well.

    The Colt New Agent specs

    Model 0781OD
    Weight: 1 pound 2 ounces
    Overall Length: 5.72"
    Barrel length: 3"
    Width of slide: .910"
Width of grip (including stocks at magazine well): 1.135"
    Trigger pull: 4 pounds
Magazine capacity (.45 Automatic): 7 rounds
Twist: 1 turn in 16 inches.
    MSRP: $885

If thats not your cup-o-tea, another slim firearm is the Walther PPS

    Model: PPS
    Caliber: 9mm
    Length: 6.3"
    Height: 4.4"
Overall Width/Width without slidestop lever and takedown buttons: 1.04"/.91"
    Barrel Length: 3.2"
    Sight Radius: 5.4"
    Weight (without Mag): 19.4 oz.
    Standard Magazine Weight: 1.9 oz.
    Action: Striker Fire Action, Pre-Cocked
    Trigger Pull: 6.1 lbs.
    Frame: Black Polymer

Personally, I'd go with the Colt, even though the Walther is a hair thinner.

Well, so far the PF9 is still the slimmest 9mm with a width of .88"

I'm going to look into that Colt New Agent. I was wanting a .45, so maybe I can kill two birds with one stone...

if you dont like the trench sight the defender is the same gun with regular sights but not the slim grip panels.

You might also want to check Sig Sauer and Kimber. Sig Sauer is coming out with a new 9mm, P290 and Kimber has a new 9mm "Solo" due out tomorrow (21 Jan). The Sig is .9" wide and the Kimber is 1.2". How do those compare to others discussed here?

I held the kimber solo yesterday. It was 639.95 at my local shop. They are small and comfortable (minus the short grip) and the trigger wasn't bad at all.

For the money and the time you would shoot it I think there are better options and save the dough for the ammunition.

One that I've always wanted to try out is a S&W CS9 or CS45. The 9mm is .93" wide. I've seen nothing but good reviews everywhere I look.

I'm also a large person, 5' 11" 270 lbs. I carry daily and have tired my S&W cs9, cs45, 6906, 469, Sigma F, C, E, VE, Taurus 85,58, Kel tec P11, Commander size 45, Star PD and Kahr CW9. These are the ones I considered small and/or lite enough for all day carry. Of them all only the Star PD and my current carry (Kahr CW9) made the grade. The Kahr is not only light and small but very flat. It has always fired and extracted, very accurate, with a long but easy trigger pull. The Star PD is a lite weight 45 that is fairly accurate but I was always checking to make sure the safety was on(single action locked and cocked with only a saftey lever) plus it had nasty hammer bite with large hands.

    slim 9mm

I own both the Kahr CW9 and a Walther PPS in 9mm---both are pretty damn slim---the Kahr is just a little shorter and a few ozs lighter---both run 100%---I can recommend them!
