Me and my step dad are avid trap/skeet shooters he has been carrying an ammo box with boxes of 25 shells in it. we use to take turns carrying the shotgun and he dosent use a sling. his style works for him because thats what he likes. i recently bought a mossberg 500 and i want to develop my own way of carrying my shotgun and ammo. So i bought a scabbard that has MOLLE webbing to add pouches my system will be different then his because id like mine to be quick and easy to carry And hands free. I can use the scabbard almost like a backpack

This is the scabbard i have. right now it just carries my shotgun id like to integrate at least 100 shells onto my scabbard since it has MOLLE webbing what is the best way to do it? Does anyone know of any good ammo pouches for 12 guage? I will post more pics of my scabbard

These buckles allow me to integrate pouches first aid kits or anything that has molle webbing

There are 2 sets of molle webbing each set has 4 strips. is it possible to attach a pouch or pouches that acomadate 100 rounds?

This is the molle webbing for those who dont know what the webbing is for.

I have a 30 cal military ammo can that my wife bought me at a yard sale. It came with 105 rounds 12 gauge 2 3/4" 00 buck in it. It was pretty much full.

This issue is the main reason I switched to a 20 gauge for pheasant hunting, lighter gun, lighter ammo, too.

If you are just looking for a way to keep rounded on the scabbard so you can carry them at the range hands free, then there are MOLLE panels that will fit. If you google, MOLLE shotgun shell carrier, you get lots of results. Amazon had a 25 round carrier that looked reasonable for that type if purpose. Get a few and put them on the scabbard. If you don't mind having the shells loose, you could just get a dump pouch.

Ammo cans work great for keeping ammo together and transporting it at the range. One can will hold 100 rounds.

For bird hunting, I don't carry more than 25 rounds in the field, with more in the truck. I use an old SAW belt pouch that just happens to fit one 25 round box of 12 ga. shells about perfect.

I deleted the picture. Too risque for the open forum, in my opinion. Sorry.

In cas we use gun carts for transporting guns ammo gear stage to stage in a range environment. VERY VERY handy for such things. I built mine for about 60$ most pricey thing was the wheels.

Judt out hunting a back pack and pockets on a jacket or pants is good enough. Loaded gun one box of loose shells in various pockets the rest in the pack has always worked for me.

Just depends on if you want quick access and want an ability to sort your ammo or if you want it just sitting loose in a dump pouch. Maybe one of each. You could have buck shot or slugs sorted on the one panel, and your general bird shot in the dump pouch. Various bird shot sizes could also be sorted on the panel type.

I like the functionality of a minnow bucket.
