Ford ranger, toyota tacoma, or nissan frontier?
Or for better mileage
I like the vehicle above, but a horse uses less fuel.
Go Mercedes or go home!
Basic Jeep will do just fine for me.
Can we git a little more detail? Eng size, 4x4 ext....
Why these three exactly?
I like FS Jeeps or International Travelalls or Travelettes
The wrangler rubicon my buddy just bought. Id get one if I could.
The little monster
A paint horse will do for me. A paint can live on gallberry bushes. Once you get where you are going set the woods on fire to fatten the horse up again.
Out of the 3 you have listed, the Toyota.
Diesel will keep longer than gas and a diesel will use less fuel. There is a better chance of finding diesel than gas when everyone else is trying to find gas. Volkswagon makes a diesel 4x4. Other than that a 3/4 ton 4x4 PU with a diesel engine. A diesel will also run on vegetable oil.
With the collapse of society as we know it, where are you going to be driving to? The 7-11 will be out of beer and cigarettes. Besides all that an automobile is a BFT, and nearly impossible to defend. Go with the horse, you won't be sorry.
I have to ask...
Are you under the impression that other horses cannot?
I think a Subaru outback would be great. Good on gas, and can take skunk gas.
No one mode of transport- as there are different needs in different settings. It could be a pickup, a 4x4 gator or ATV, dirt bike, bicycle, horse, mule, GOOD pair of boots- or a boat, ultralite- or knowing how to hobo and hop a train (think THAT takes no knowledge- tell me what a peddler freight is)
Me? Funny thing happened when the local National Guard unit was trading their aircraft for new Apaches.......
He does not need diesel fuel. But he has gas most of the time.
International Scout 4x4.
The fastest one you can get hold of.
