I ordered a Maxpedetion Monsoon the other day. I could use it for alot of things and I just thought it looked really handy.

I'm thinking about a few things to keep in it.

    1. Pistol
    2. Extra mags
    3. Light
    4. Knife
    5. Med kit
    6. ?????

What's in yours pr what else do I need to throw in there?

Looks like there's plenty of room for more.

First - Really great choice of backpack. Top notch pack there. Jack and I both chose the same one from separate background experiences.

I carry a lot of items in mine, to be honest. I carry a lot of what is listed and I also carry:

    • Zune - It's a portable hard drive. Hello. :)
    • Spare socks
    • Spare 'wears ( if you need to know why, you obviously have bigger balls than a lot of folks  )
    • Epi-Pen, in my small medi pack ( Look it up )
    • Carbs ( some snacks that provide long term tummy happiness )
    • Cell Phone Charger ( AC - Wall Charger )
    • A Random Ball Cap ( one of many I picked up at SHOT or other places without a "team" endorsement )
How do you like that small of the back zipper/pouch??

I also have a couple of emergency blankets (the aluminumn foil kind) and a small poncho with 100 feet of nylon cord. Could make a shelter in an emergency. I actually carry my stuff in an oversized camel back. It's not a full sized back pack. But it is great for hiking in the woods. I also have a couple of power bars, first aid kit, snake bite kit, magnezium fire starter, knife. I always throw a box ammo for whatever I am carrying at the time in there too.

I work with kids. I took a bunch of kids on a hike during a camping trip. They all brought small water bottles. I ended up refilling their bottles from my pack. I never ran out of water.

Nunchakus suck. Who is the idiot that first thought of swinging that around?

    Bible goes everywhere anyway.

    Thanks for nothing, dork.

Actually after looking at your picture again, it probably about the same size as your pack. I forgot to mention, I also have a small emergency hand fishing kit in mine.

I know why you carry an Epi-Pen JD. Great idea.

It hasn't arrived yet, but I'm anxious. :)

They were invented long before gun powder. But they seem kind of pointless to me now.

I still have my issued camel back, it has been pretty handy, but I consider this a substantial upgrade.

    Great ideas there too!

Goju, if you don't love it, PM me. I will buy it from you at cost. I love mine and do think it's a GREAT addition to the quiet arsenal.

I look forward to your report of it when you get it. Please post a review for the good of the forum.

    You'd lose.

Give me a bo over a set of nunchaku anyday for stick type weapons.

I used to play with nunchaku quite a bit, but was never trained how to use them. I have trained mostly with the bo and escrima, but some with the sai and tonfa too.

When nunchaku hit something they recoil because they are attached with a chain or rope, that's stupid.

Anyway, no nunchaku in there. How about a taser/stun gun or pepper spray?

I do have a kubaton I carry sometimes.

OK, No Nunchakus, maybe a few Shuriken.:D

I am deeply hurt by the Dork comment. That cut deep.

Got the gearslinger on manday and stuffed it right away. I carried it monday and tuesday everywhere I went. It's very comfortable and holds way more than I thought.

The zipper pouch is where I kept my cz75b and extra mags stored. It looked difficult at first but I managed to be able to unzip it and get the pistol out pretty quick after only a few tweaks.

Looks like I'll be keeping this and I feel Oh so tacticool!! :D
